MotoBFF: find people to ride with, near you

The short answer
MotoBFF is a free app for iPhone and Android that shows motorcycle group rides on a map near you. You can join a ride with one tap, post your own with a meeting point, time and riding level, chat with the group, and find riders, routes and places nearby.
Most riders know the feeling. The weather is perfect, the bike is ready, and everyone you know is busy. You could ride alone, and sometimes that's what you want. But some days you want company: someone to stop for coffee with, someone who knows the road, someone to say "that last section was good" to at the top of the pass.
MotoBFF exists for those days.
Group rides on a map
Open the app and you see a map. Every pin is a group ride someone has posted: where they meet, when they leave, where they're going and what riding level it suits. Tap a pin to see who's going. Tap Join and you're in.
Posting your own takes about a minute:
- Drop a pin where you want to meet. A petrol station, a café car park, the usual spot.
- Pick a day and a time.
- Choose a riding level: Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced.
- Say where you're heading.
Riders near you see it on the map. When someone joins, they land in the ride's group chat, and the first message in it is the meeting point, so nobody has to scroll back to find out where to be.

Why riding level matters
No other riding app we know of asks for your riding level, and it's the thing that decides whether a group ride is fun. A Sunday cruise to the lake and a fast run over three passes are both great rides. They're not great for the same people.
Your level is yours to set and change. Nobody checks it, and the app never moves you down. If you join a ride above your level, MotoBFF tells you once, then lets you decide. It's a nudge, not a gate.
Riders near you
Not every ride needs a plan. Riders near you shows who else rides in your area, with a rough distance and their country, never where they are. Message someone, add them as a friend, ride together next weekend.
Your exact position never leaves your phone. The server keeps a rough area of about 5 km, and you can hide yourself from the list at any time in Settings.
Routes and places
Riders publish their favourite routes, with the map, length and how twisty they are. Others rate them: Would ride it or Not great. Save the ones you like, or use Find me a route to get a loop from where you are.
Places are the stops that make a ride: cafés, bars, food and places to stay, like the restaurant at the top of the pass. Riders keep them up to date by marking them Still good or Not anymore.
City chats
Every city has a chat for local riders. Ask about road works, find someone heading out tomorrow morning, or just see who's around.
